Oh My!

Nothing exciting happened this weekend... Saturday was so darn hot, but we went for a little scoot to Legend's and Target and it wore us out. Sunday we went to Sakura to order take-out sushi (it was terrible...we'll never go back). On the way we decided to gas up, when Alex was pumping my gas the nossle didn't shut off automatically so gas went all down the back and side of Cannoli! Oh my! I was sad, and it was a mess. Then we went to have snow-balls and scooted over to Walmart... that place is scary. Tomorrow Cannoli is getting a bath weather she likes it or not because she smells like petroleum and I don't think and air freshener will work. Until my next scoot Ciao!

Looks like we are in China

Once the rain cleared and the roads were dry it didn't take us long to jump on the scooters today. So we decided to grab some dinner. We ordered soup and salad, and when the girl handed me this huge bag I thought how are we going to get this home!!! Quickly Alex says just like they do in China... between your legs. We laughed the whole way home and I just couldn't resist snaping a picture with my phone.

Look at all those pretty scooters!!!

Today was a beautiful day to scoot. We finally got to meet Crystal and the fleet to scooter friends she brought with her to the Pour House today in downtown Westminster. We also met Susan from Colorado who is here to make the trip to Vermont, Karl, KT, Roy, and Diane. Westminster somehow looked much nicer with all the pretty scooters lined up on Main Street. We shared scooter stories with the veteran riders, I gave haircolor advice and we of course talked Longaberger and Tiffany. And hopefully we convinced KT (black & red helmet) and Diane (blue helmet) to switch to a full-face helmet that can still coordinate with there scooter colors. We also saw a couple on Metropolitans on Main Street...we have to track them down, brain wash them into becoming scooter freaks and make them join our club. Here's the link for the Maryland Wine Festival in Westminster, hopefully everyone can meet up for this fun event.

Extra! Extra! read all about it

Cannoli and Enzo are famous! It was nice to open the Carroll County Times this morning to see a great article about our scooters and the club we have started. It was also great to finally meet another local scooter lover Crystal Waters. Crystal also blogs @ girlbike.com, and is owner of scooter seat covers. Crystal is also leaving Monday for "The Long Haul" to Vermont on her scooter to participate in "The Last Mile Ride" to benefit Gifford's end-of-life care. She is one of the organizers of this event and is scooting in honor of her boyfriends father who passed in February at the Garden Room of Gifford Memorial Hospital in Vermont. We would have loved to take that trip but with my 50cc's it would probably take me 10+ days just to get there. We hope you have a beautiful and safe ride.

Who Needs an SUV!

It was a pretty quiet weekend for us... We rented the movie Roman Holiday, just to see the Vespa. Its an old black and white film with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck(good movie). For most of the weekend we just did a little scooting around here and there. No exciting trips. We went to lunch and ran some errands. I went to the mall just to pick up a few things...well a few things turned into, two formal dresses, five soaps from bath and body and a pair of shoes. As we are walking out of the mall door it just hit me that we were on the scooters and I thought oh crap...where am I going to put all this stuff. Who needs an SUV when we were able to fit everything in both the scooters without even using bungees.

The Kids' first bath

Posted by Picasa
Cannoli and Enzo got there first bath today, it only took 10minutes. We didn't really scoot much today we went the grocery store and then stopped by farmer John (the roadside veggie truck). It's amazing a whole dozen of corn fit under Enzo's seat! Later we went for snowball by Frisco Pub and the HATED Roomstore. Along the way we must have passed 5 or 6 scooter buddies. There not really buddies we just call them that. I wish we could all meet up to scoot somewhere together.

Another beautiful weekend to scoot!

I thought it was a perfect day for a scoot until someone almost ran me and Cannoli off the road. I guess I wasn't going fast enough for the car behind me so they decided they wanted to eliminate me. Cars SUCK!!!! I ended up making it to my parents in one piece. We went to Harry's for lunch it was the first time leaving the kids unattended. After lunch we scooted to the mall where there was no place for us to chain the scooters to so we decided to park them on the sidewalk away for the door and out of the way of people 30 minutes later we come out to two yellow tickets shoved in our glove boxes that read... No parking due to fire regulation, no gas powered vehicles on sidewalk. I don't think the .5 (a real cop is a 5'O' any kind of non-police wannabe cop would b 0.5)thought we couldn't read so he waited there for us so he could verbly slap us on the wrist.

Road Trip

Sunday July 8th

Cannoli and Enzo set out for breakfast in downtown Westminster, after having a bagel we hit the street for a back road tour to the airport. Later that afternoon we got the crazy idea to scoot all the way to Taneytown...that's 15 miles. Before the big road trip we had to fill up, it was only $4 for both of us, and that was premium, my kind of gas bill.
It was so hot and there were so many hills, Cannoli doesn't go very fast up hill, but down hill is a different story I had her up to 42mph! (The bugs really hurt at 42mph). We stopped by a friends house before heading home.

Can't wait until our next ride

The French Riviera

Cannoli and her boyfriend Vincenzo (Enzo) my husband Piaggio Fly 150 went to lunch today at Legend's Cafe. We sat outside on the patio to babysit the kids while we ate. A gentleman walked by and suggested we pretend we were in the French Riviera. HA HA! After lunch we scooted to Target and Jo Ann Fabrics than later we rode toWalmart via Rt.27 ... WOW I went 41mph! My dad put a Rookie Driver bumper sticker on the side of Cannoli hoping people will get out of my way.

1st scoot on my new vespa

After days of anticipation Cannoli came home today. I took her for her first scoot around Westminster and it was so much fun. I think everyone should have a scooter.

I am looking for scooter buddies to scoot around the area.

I found really cool custom seat covers, I just might order one
